Application
First you have to create a Pre-Application. Complete the application by sending in a cover letter and work samples on CD/DVD.

The applicants' selections are based on three steps:
Passed testimonial from 2- or 3-year based upper secondary school, or corresponding.

Qualifications for applications:
Good experience and interest in computer games. Interest and experience in games in general (party games, role playing games, live, boardgames etc.).
During the interview you will be able to show your talent in communication and the ability to work in a group. During the interview you will do small tasks with the other applicants. You will have a chance to get to know some of the other applicants and get a taste of what to come.

Work sample information
Good sense of color and shapes. Creative competence such as drawing technique, storytelling technique, role playing games, historical interest etc. Previous experience in 3D-modeling is considered a merit. Digital portfolios, like pre rendered images, movies, conceptual art etc. Photograph or scan your pictures or sculptures.
Previous experience or training in programming C/C++. Knowledge in DirectX, OpenGL, or any other 3D-programming is qualifying. Portfolios should contain source code and an executable application for PC or console.
The game design work samples differ from the other. As a game designer you will do two specific tasks. The first task is for you to analyse a game of your choice. The second part is the creation of an idea. You will create one unique idea on a given theme and document it. This years theme is "By the pond in the great forest, where the creature lives".

The work samples shall be sent in on a CD or a DVD. Categorize your files in folders and only use common file formats. We will not search for or install specific programs to view or execute your files. Make sure that the CD or DVD works by testing it in another computer than yours.

NOTE: All lectures will be in Swedish so it is crucial that you understand Swedish.

GameCubator
GameCubator's goal and function is to support new companies towards both a national and an international market. GameCubator provides the company with a business coach that supports you in the development of the business plan.
As a student at PSQ you have the possibility to place the LIA period (active workplace learning) in the GameCubator by starting a company.
If you have an existing company or just an idea you are welcome to apply to GameCubator.
To be accepted to GameCubator you have to meet up to certain criteria that apply to the rules set by Stiftelsen Teknikdalens company incubator.

Is the latest addition to the GameCubator. Prior to being accepted in to the GameCubator all members of AE studied at PSQ. They are currently developing a game for XBLA.
